David Nappa grew up working in his family's New Jersey
dealerships. His father, Frank Nappa,
has operated Wayne Ford in
David started as a washboy at age 14 cleaning cars, painting fences and cutting the grass at Wayne Ford. Later, he worked for customers in every dealership department at Wayne Ford and Hackensack Ford including Sales, Parts and Service. He learned the importance of asking customers what they want, listening and then designing dealership processes that serve customer's wants and needs.
David also learned from the many loyal and dedicated associates at their dealerships, some of whom have worked with the Nappa family for 20, 30 and even more than 40 years.
David graduated from Wake Forest University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science and also holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management from 1987.
In addition to his scholastic education, David learned the most about customer and community service and about life from his father, Frank, the 2001 recipient of Time Magazine's New Jersey Quality Dealer of the Year. Frank and Dave always been active in their communities founding, contributing to and serving in many organizations including the 200 Clubs of both Passaic and Middlesex Counties (which help families of local and state police, firefighters and law enforcement officers), the South Brunswick and Wyckoff YMCA's, the PAL, Middlesex and Tri-County Chambers of Commerce, Valley Hospital, Armed Forces Toys For Tots, South Brunswick High School and Wayne High School Advisory Board, Dayton Village Citizens Coalition, Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, South Brunswick Township Charity Organization and SAFE Program, Middlesex County Boy Scouts and Middlesex County College Foundation.
In 2006, David was proud to take ownership of Dayton Toyota,
New Jersey's first Toyota dealership; founded in 1959. Dayton Toyota has received numerous customer
service awards including ten Toyota President's Awards as well as
