2016 Toyota Prius Review

The 2016 Toyota Prius is slated to be released near the end of 2015, and drivers can assume there will be numerous performance and technology upgrades.

To help you get a better understanding of what you can expect in this hybrid, here's your preview of the 2016 Toyota Prius.

Design

Speculation and some spy photos have indicated that the 2016 Toyota Prius will keep its overall five-door hatchback shape. However, it may borrow the diamond architecture styling seen in Toyota's concept cars, possibly making it look a bit more sculpted and futuristic.

In addition, it's been said that the main design and body shape of the 2016 Toyota Prius is aerodynamic and will work to enhance overall efficiency and performance.

Performance Options

It's assumed the performance of the new 2016 Toyota Prius will come from the same 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with the electronic continuously variable transmission or something similar. Regardless, you'll still experience the highly efficient performance you love from a Prius.

There has also been talk that the new 2016 Toyota Prius will offer multiple trim levels, as it has in the past, and will feature two battery options. One will be the same as the current Prius model, and the other will be a larger-capacity battery that will cater to those looking to drive more in electric-only mode.

But while the different battery options did get some buzz from Prius enthusiasts, the news that turned heads everywhere was the possibility of having an all-wheel drive system added. It's a feature that has not been confirmed as of yet, but Koei Saga, senior managing officer of powertrain development, said, "I think we will possibly do it."

Interior Technologies

No one has seen the interior of the 2016 Toyota Prius, so we don't really know what it will include in terms of technology. But if you look at the previous model, you can get an idea of what you'll eventually find. For entertainment, you can expect an infotainment similar to that of the Entune App Suite. This will allow you to listen to music from iHeart Radio, buy movie tickets, and set dinner reservations.

With safety, there's a possibility the 2016 Toyota Prius will include the Star Safety System for more traction and control and multiple driver assist safety features to keep you protected and focused.

Based on speculation and the overall performance of the previous version, the 2016 Toyota Prius will deliver an impressive, efficient, and capable experience for drivers throughout South Brunswick Township, New Brunswick, and Plainsboro Township.

But until its release at the end of this year, you won't be able to see just how wonderful this new model is.
