Exterior and Interior Highlights
The Toyota RAV4's front end is as recognizable as it is functional. Active Grille Shutters, designed to minimize aerodynamic drag at high speeds, move up and down according to the car's speed to let air into the engine for optimal cooling. The LED front-seat reading lights help to illuminate the center console and the area between the seats. This makes it easier for the driver and passenger to see each other when navigating handoffs or when reaching for something in the middle space.
Safety Features
Safety features for the RAV4 include an available blind spot monitor (BSM) with rear-cross traffic alert (RCTA), eight airbags, and a Star Safety System® comprising enhanced vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control (TRAC), anti-lock brake system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), and smart stop technology(SST).
A blind spot monitor (BSM) with rear-cross traffic alert (RCTA) helps to prevent accidents when changing lanes. The BSM uses a camera mirror system and a display screen to show images of what is in the driver's blind spot. The RCTA alerts drivers when cross traffic approaches from behind when they are signaling to change lanes.
The Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system helps improve traction, which reduces the risk of a skid. The VSC system allows the driver to maintain steering control by providing braking force to individual wheels to keep the vehicle under control and on the intended path of travel.
Technology
Technology features include available 10.5-inch multimedia display, USB ports, a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Drivers can seamlessly pair their smartphones through the vehicle's infotainment system, making hands-free calling, streaming music, using maps, and accessing your messages easy and distraction-free.
