This system uses the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to detect an imminent frontal collision and then automatically applies the brakes as well as front seatbelt retraction in an effort to lessen impact forces and reduce injury.

Clever System of Airbags

The Toyota Prius starts its safety package with a set of seven airbags specially designed to help protect passengers in the event of a collision.

A driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System provides superior protection in the first row, while the rear side-curtain airbags help to keep the second row safe. Also, a driver knee airbag is capable of reducing the risk of injury to the driver's lower body during a collision.

Lane Keep Assist

No matter how hard we try to be safe drivers, people aren't perfect. For that, the Toyota Prius can help with its Lane Keep Assist. This system can detect if you're departing a lane without signaling and will warn you with both a visual and an audible alert.

When Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is activated, Lane Keep Assist can also help keep drivers in the proper lane by applying gently corrective steering when needed.
