If you've been keeping up with the latest Toyota news, you likely know our favorite Japanese automaker is planning on producing a new sedan that's powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology. And while we here at Dayton Toyota are certainly excited, creating it is a rather big risk. After all, hydrogen fuel cell technology is one of the least understood platforms in the automotive world.

In other words, Toyota needs to educate the public as to why their next vehicle should be one powered by hydrogen fuel cells. And to do precisely that, Toyota recently installed a 1.1-megawatt generator (the largest ever made) at its campus in California.

There are, of course, other benefits to this move aside from educating drivers. For instance, the new generator will save Toyota roughly $130,000 on its utility bills due to the fact that it can provide nearly half of the campus with electricity during peak demand. Furthermore, it will do so without producing any emissions.

And that's precisely what you can expect in the Toyota hydrogen fuel cell sedan: affordable mobility that produces no impact on the environment.

Interested in going green now? Then be sure to consider a one of the many hybrid models currently offered in the new Toyota lineup, such as the Prius.
