Engine and  Fuel Economy

The 2014 Toyota Avalon features a 3.5 liter v6 engine with 268 hp. This engine is powerful and provides 248 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle also has an EPA fuel economy of 21/31mpg.


Interior

The interior of the Toyota Avalon is elegant and contains materials that are of very high quality. The interior of the 2014 Toyota Avalon has standard leather seats and French stitching which is very soft. To add to the luxury of leather seats is the addition of heated seats. These are perfect on a cold day to help you warm up quickly. The steering wheel, and shift lever also contains leather.

There are several benefits to the back seats. First, they are very roomy and contain a center armrest with cup holders.  Climate control features are also available which provide rear heated seats. The ride is very luxurious because of the sunshade option. This helps keep back seat passengers comfortable and cool during sunny days.

The vehicle also has ambient lighting in the cabin which provides elegance and warmth. 


Safety


One of the biggest safety features is the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.  It adjusts the car's speed to maintain following distance automatically.  Another useful safety feature is the backup camera.  It is helpful during parallel parking or when leaving a narrow driveway.  Drivers use the backup camera as a guide.  

Objects at the rear of the vehicle are shown on the display when the vehicle is in reverse. The Blind Spot Monitor is useful as well.  It helps the driver notice vehicles that are not seen while changing lanes or when backing out of a packing location.  It displays a warning on the mirror.  The vehicle also has night safety features, such as an automatic high beam.  The system detects vehicles that are many feet away and automatically uses the high beams.  The system makes driving easier for others who drive at night.  The most efficient feature, however, is the Safety Connect feature.  It gives the driver automatic collision notifications and emergency roadside assistance.  The services are provided by Toyota's call center.
