The Toyota Camry has been around for years, being one of the vehicles that established Toyota's market dominance that was first introduced and grown with the versatile pickup truck. Many dealerships like Dayton Toyota South Brunswick, NJ, have been at the forefront of Toyota demand over the years. By 2012 the Camry has seen seven generations and changes to its model alone, not to mention a big expansion of the Toyota line since the early days of the 1980s. And now the 2015 Toyota Camry is being released, with another big upgrade and change-out to its package. Some of the big changes include improved interior features, more safety components, and more trim options for buyers. Test drive the 2015 Toyota Camry today at Dayton Toyota.
Body and Frame
Most folks won't immediately notice the change unless they start using a tape measure on the car, but the new Camry is designed to be at least two inches longer in frame length. There is also a slightly longer dimension on the wheels by a half-inch, again not even noticeable to the naked eye. What will stand out, however, is the change of the front grille, now made to look a lot more like a Lexus front end versus the previous Camry version. In addition to the current lineup, the 2015 Toyota Camry sees an addition of two more trim packages. The new XSE trim is a step up from the SE trim, which is already a sport-inspired version of the Camry lineup. This package adds in a beefier wheel base and profiled front face of the car. There is also a Hybrid SE trim package added to the line, which makes some cosmetic additions to the SE package to make it stand apart. Then, for those not interested in the new lines, there are still the existing trims of the L, LE, SE, and XLE.
Engine and Power
The 2015 model contains the same power block as previous years. The base model is built with a V4 engine that sizes out to a 2.5 liter block. This engine puts out 178 horsepower, which is a bit more than standard for a four-cylinder. The upgraded engine is a 3.5 liter block that puts out 286 horsepower. This V6 block also has 248 lb.-ft. of torque as well. The third package is in the Hybrid model, which is also a V4 but runs a little bit weaker at 156 horsepower. It uses an electric motor combined with a combustion engine to lean out the performance for longer mileage.
Interior Style and Features
In a lot of ways, the 2015 Toyota Camry will look the same as the previous year with regards to the interior, but there are a number of additional electronic amenities. These include multiple charging sockets for wireless personal devices and cell phones. There is also a placement charger, where a phone can be simply placed without plugging in and it will charge up. Safety features are also boosted with more car movement warnings, a cruise control that has some intuitive benefits, pre-accident warning systems, cross-traffic warning systems, and automatic headlights.
