The new Toyota models that you'll find on the Dayton Toyota lot, conveniently located at 2291 US Route 130 in South Brunswick, NJ, are safe, reliable, and efficient. In other words, they're the perfect vehicles for not only personal use but professional use as well. That's one of the main reasons why Toyota created the "100 Cars for Good" program last year, and it's a big reason why they're taking another shot at it in 2012.
Thus far, Toyota has accepted applications and narrowed the list of finalists down to 500 nonprofit groups. Now, the company is equipping each finalist with a digital video camera, a training toolkit, and free online advertising credits to aid in their "100 Cars for Good" campaign. From there, Toyota plans to reserve final say in the contest for drivers in the greater South Brunswick area and beyond. Specifically, they're inviting fans on Facebook to vote between five finalists per day from May 14th through August 21st.
Each day a new winner will be declared. That nonprofit group will get their choice of either a Toyota Highlander, Prius v, Tundra, Sienna, Sienna Mobility (wheelchair-access equipped), or Camry Hybrid, as well as a complimentary six-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. As for the four runner ups each day? Toyota won't be letting them walk away empty-handed. They'll each earn a $1,000 grant for the hard work they do.
That said, we'd like to know what your voting process will be in the 2012 Toyota "100 Cars for Good" initiative. Is there a certain type of nonprofit that you prefer to vote for? Or are you naturally drawn to the one that's had the biggest impact? Feel free to let us know by leaving a comment!
