Toyota is always improving their vehicles and making them safer. In today's automotive world it seems more and more importance is being placed on fuel-efficiency. But here at Dayton Toyota, we understand that safety is a major concern for every one of our customers. That's why we are very proud to tell you about Toyota's latest safety development.
Ensuring vehicles are safe is a never ending job. Yes, you can drive very safely and be alert but that does not mean that other drivers drive just as safely as you do. Vehicle safety is something everyone needs to consider. Luckily, Toyota's Pre-Collision System, can help prevent more accidents and let drivers have one less thing to worry about.
Toyota's Pre-Collision System will give drivers audio and visual warnings when the gap between them and the car in front of them begins to close rapidly. If the brakes are not applied the PCS can slow the vehicle automatically by 9 to 18.5 mph. It also can apply the brakes with twice as much force as human driver can. This new safety development will definitely be beneficial to all drivers and we think will be able to prevent rear-end collisions.
While Toyota has not confirmed when it will start implementing the PCS, we can only hope that they decide to start producing it sooner rather than later.
