Toyota is famous for always hearing their customers out. It's why the automaker has expanded their hybrid offerings from just the one Prius to an entire Prius family. It's why the new Toyota lineup offers some of the safest, most fuel-efficient models in the world. And, it's also why Toyota now offers features like Entune and ToyotaCare as standard amenities.

In addition to this, Toyota is going to do something that bucks the trend of automotive efficiency. While most companies are axing larger engines from their lineups, Toyota is cutting one of their four-cylinder engines from the lineup.

Now, before we go further - rest assured that fuel-efficient and peppy models like the Toyota Corolla will still be available with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. Because Toyota knows that consumers like you love this engine - it's fun to drive, it's efficient, it's lightweight.

But here's the other thing they know: people who drive models like the Toyota Sienna like the V6 engine better. According to company officials, four-cylinder Sienna models account for less than five percent of total model sales. Because Toyota is paying attention to consumers, next year, it will only be available with a 3.5-liter V6 engine.

Sounds like not many of you will even notice the four-cylinder is missing, though.
