Our blog often showcases a portion of the Toyota brand's philanthropic endeavors. We say a portion because the automaker is always finding new ways to get involved, that it can be hard to keep up.

From giving away new Toyota vehicles during its 100 Cars for Good campaign, or more recently, alleviating automobile crashes by educating our next generation of drivers.

Toyota's TeenDrive365 program uses interactive online tools, helpful tips from the experts, local events, and even social media to promote safe driving among parents, and consequentially, teens too.

A study sponsored by Toyota's Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) found teenagers are strongly influenced by their parents, especially when it comes to getting behind the wheel. Therefore it is vital that parents exhibit safe driving, but also talk with their teens about being responsible on the road.

"It's so important that parents understand that the actions they take and the expectations they set for young drivers each day are powerful factors in encouraging a lifetime of safe behavior behind the wheel," explains Dr. Tina Sayer, the auto brand's teen safe driving expert, as well as the CSRC Principal Engineer.1

Some of the resources Toyota makes available through the TeenDrive365.com website are: information on Teen Safe Driving events nationwide, a safe driving contract for both parents and teens to sign, a fun Facebook quiz that puts parents head-to-head with their teen on safe driving facts, as well as coaching guides and training videos.

Just like the auto brand, we at Dayton Toyota care about you too and that's why we strongly encourage our South Brunswick, NJ area drivers to check out www.TeenDrive365.com before jump behind the wheel!
