It's the fall season, the weather is getting cooler and the trees are changing colors. It is also time for some great fall festivals, perfect for enjoying the last of the warm weather. If you are looking for nearby Dayton fall festivals for the family to enjoy, head over to Von Thun’s Country Farm & Market for their 24th annual Fall Festival.
This is going to be a great year at the farm, with plenty of fun activities for everyone. There will be live country music from Nashville Attitude, a clown, jugglers and magic. The kids will love the pedal car races and the rubber duck races. There will also be hay rides, a corn maze, farm animals and this year's special guest, Scooby Doo; don't forget your camera!
There are three pumpkin patches on the farm, with lots of opportunities for great photos, a hayride and other entertainment while you choose your perfect pumpkin. You can also pick your own apples in the orchard where you will find several varieties of delicious New Jersey apples perfect for baking apple pie or snacking on.

The kids will enjoy pony rides, wagon rides and barnyard animals. Everyone, including the adults, will have fun navigating the corn stalk maze. There will be live music from 12pm to 4pm featuring some great local acts. There will be plenty of food including hot dogs, chili and of course, apple cider donuts.
For the grown-ups, the winery tasting room will be open for you to try award-winning wines while admiring the artwork displayed in their 150 year old barn.
Make sure you bring your Toyota pick-up truck, because you will need room for all the apples and pumpkins you will be picking at the farm!
