Ever since Toyota began importing vehicles into the US, the manufacturer’s relentless commitment to quality has continuously kept the company gracefully surging ahead of the aggressive automotive pack. Dayton Toyota knows the Toyota Camry remains the #1 selling car in the US year after year, but perhaps we aren’t sure why. So what is it about Toyota that makes their vehicles top sellers decade after decade?

Maybe a better question is what Toyota does for us. The company has firmly kept their commitment towards fuel efficiency and reliability since the very first vehicle rolled onto the Dayton Toyota lot in 1959. After all these years, Toyota remains steadfast in their promise to keep our customer’s safe on the road. No other car company consistently maintains such high crash test ratings. Toyota’s recall records are remarkably slim compared to the competition.

The manufacturer’s reputation for producing well-engineered cars and trucks that are built to last a long, long time speaks for itself. It’s not unusual to see a Toyota odometer turning the 300k mark. Don’t we all want a car that’s on the road rather than the repair shop? That may sound like an impossible dream but Toyota has managed to make it come true. Toyota’s production system is not only about providing durability. They maintain a core philosophy of excellence as carefully as they build vehicles. No other brand holds its resale value so well.

While competitors desperately fill the market with delicate gizmos and faddish designs, Toyota vehicles maintain their presence with a simple, stylish, uncluttered appearance which is updated with invisible fluidity from model year to model year. Toyota’s lightweight, durable body and trim has always stood out in a market which seemingly builds vehicles to rust.

Toyota's expansion into North America is a boon for the struggling US economy, providing jobs and profit sharing as part of their remarkable production philosophy. The company’s presence on US soil is as efficient as their vehicles. Plant closures and bailout programs are noticeably absent from the company’s operating philosophy.

Toyota’s responsibility towards us extends into the environment with the introduction of the eco-friendly Prius. And the company continues to seek innovative ways to create affordable, alternative fuel vehicles.

What drives Toyota's performance record should be obvious. It's us. We asked for a durable, reliable, fuel efficient vehicle and we got it. Toyota gives it to us time and time again.
