Black Friday is one of the best shopping nights of the year, also one of the most hectic. This year, many big retailers are opening on Thanksgiving Day, which means in order to get some of the good sales you have to be willing to give up valuable family time. And if you are going to give that up, you want to know how to shop in the most efficient way on Black Friday so you know it was all worth it.

Find the Sales

Finding the best sales can be tricky. But there are several ways to find the information efficiently so there will be no need for you to scramble on Thanksgiving to find the best deals.bCheck your newspaper the week of Thanksgiving, and the week before. They have inserts that list all of the best Black Friday deals.

You can also find these ahead of time online from websites like BFAds.net, TheBlackFriday.com and BlackFriday.com. These websites are committed to giving shoppers the inside scoop on the deals at selected retailers. You can also download a Black Friday App, for those who are tech savy. This year, the main apps are ShopSavvy, TGI Black Friday, Black Friday 2014, and Shopular Coupons. There are a bunch more if you search Black Friday  in the app store.

Join email lists from your favorite retailers as soon as you can, since they most often let those customers know about Bl

ack Friday deals before the public. You might even get exclusive coupons or swag for being a preferred customer on the email list. Do not be afraid to ask your favorite retailers about Black Friday deals. The sales associates might know something, whether it is just one sale or the overall sale. Or they might be able to point you in the right direction on finding that information.

Also, check for coupons. Look out in the weeks leading up to Black Friday for exclusive coupons, but make sure to read the fine print. It is possible you may not able to use the coupons on Black Friday, or combined with any other sale. But, you never know, so be sure to check!

Prepare Yourself

Getting the best deals in the most efficient way possible is about good planning. You probably want to make a list of  Must Have items, and do your best to stick to the list during your shopping. Just because something is a  good deal does not mean you need it. Getting a good deal is only worth it if you are crossing off things on your list and you are staying on budget. Make a budget for yourself and stick to it. If you are out on Black Friday because you are on a tight budget, decide how much you can realistically afford to spend. In a lot of cases, items bought on Black Friday usually are not able to be returned. Be sure to check the return policy before making your purchase. It is easy to look over the fact that something is not on your list, or will put you over your budget in the heat of the moment. But that heat will pass when you get home and you realize you have overspent.

Have Fun!

Going Black Friday shopping is a fun experience. With all of that adrenaline pumping, you are sure to have a good time. So get some friends together, get yourselves a coffee and delicious snacks and enjoy yourself! With everything planned out in advance, you wil have a great time and get some seriously great deals.
