Fine Arts Festival
The 13th Annual Fine Arts Festival will return to the Municipal Complex Pond in East Brunswick on Saturday, June 6 (rain date: Sunday, June 7). From 10 am to 8 pm, this outdoor show will feature fine arts and handmade crafts for those who attend. The East Brunswick Farmer's Market will also operate in conjunction with this event.
New Jersey International Film Festival
Taking place at Voorhees Hall #105 on the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers University on May 30 and 31 and June 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 will be the New Jersey International Film Festival. Films from all over the globe will be shown at this festival to give movie buffs and entertainment seekers a different look into the cinematic world. Each show will start at 7 pm, and those interested need tickets for admission. It will cost $10 for the public, $9 for students and senior citizens, and $8 or those in the Rutgers Film Co-op/NJMAC Friends.
Independence Celebration and Fireworks
South Brunswick Township will hold its Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks on Thursday, July 2 (rain date: Friday, July 3). Take the entire family out for a traditional night of fun and fireworks at the Crossroads School South Fields in Monmouth Junction. Gates should open around 5 pm, and the fireworks will take place at dusk.
Middlesex County Fair
The Middlesex County Fair will take place from August 3 to August 9. This week-long event is a historic fair that's been entertaining locals for nearly 80 years. Each day features different events and attractions, including drawing classes and an alligator show. The Middlesex County Fair will take place at 655 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick, NJ, and requires tickets for admission. It will cost $7 for adults, $4 for those 65 and older, $1 for children ages 3 to 12, and children 2 and under are free.
