When it comes to contests named after a single human feeling, "fun" is a lot better than "hunger" right off the bat. Plus, while one such contest is run by an evil, science-fiction government and meant to create a gruesome gladiator-like spectacle, the other is run by a fairly reliable, likeable car company.

As the name implies, these games are all about having fun.

Three teams were given a new Toyota Tacoma and set down in the California wilderness, with various off-road adventure challenges to complete.

The goal isn't to do the best at the challenges though, points are allotted based on who is having the most fun.

Yes, Toyota can measure how much fun you're having.

Okay, we're starting to get weirdly evil-science-fiction-corporation vibes from this. Is Toyota becoming the Capitol? Why is Toyota assigning numbers to our feelings?

Don't worry, each contestant is wearing a simple wristband device similar to a Fitbit. It tracks various vital signs, and allows a computer to accurately assess whether the participants are feeling stress, or happiness. Instead of scoring the contestants based on their strength, they get points for feeling excited and happy.

So, not quite Hunger Games material. Maybe one day, evil-overlord-Toyota.

You can have fun in a new Tacoma, too. Visit Dayton Toyota, and test drive a new Toyota vehicle.
