Trim Levels
The Land Cruiser is available in three trims. The base model is the Land Cruiser 1958, which has vintage styling with iconic round headlights and a 'Toyota' heritage grille. The second trim level is the Land Cruiser, which has headlights that have a rectangular design and a more off-road-oriented frame and design. Topping the lineup is the First Edition, which has round LED headlights, a roof rack, roof rails, and a trim-exclusive interior design.
Interior and Exterior
One of the biggest changes in the new Land Cruiser is that it has changed from a three-row SUV to a vehicle with two rows of seats. The Land Cruiser now seats five people max instead of eight. The Toyota SUV also now has a more practical instead of luxurious interior. With the latest Land Cruiser, you will still get physical controls that are easy to use, along with a variety of off-road settings that are equally intuitive. Although the Land Cruiser has one fewer row of seats, it does not sacrifice space or comfort, and you still have plenty of legroom and headroom to enjoy. The upscale Land Cruiser has a second row of seats that folds to free up more space on demand.
On the outside, the new Toyota Land Cruiser has a stylish exterior that is equally rugged and contemporary. The new SUV has a broad front grille and a tall ride height. It retains some of its classic elements, including a boxy design and an iconic 'Toyota' grille. The sophisticated Toyota Land Cruiser's new, smaller platform gives it more stability and rigidity. The Land Cruiser is also a bit narrower than the previous model and slightly shorter, which enhances its off-road efficiency. Round LED headlights and roof rails complete the Land Cruiser's looks.
Technology
When it comes to technology and amenities, the Land Cruiser comes well-equipped at all trim levels. It has an Audio Multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Heated seats and ventilated seats are available in several color choices, and you can also get a 12.3-inch multimedia display screen. Audio quality is also exceptional with a 14-speaker JBL sound system. You have the option of getting a 4G hotspot with the Land Cruiser that connects up to five devices at once. The advanced Land Cruiser also has USB-C charging ports in both rows, and it has a standard Qi wireless charging pad.
Performance
The ambitious Land Cruiser can tow up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped. The new Land Cruiser also has standard 17-inch disc brakes in the front and back. The Toyota SUV draws power from an efficient engine, which is an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain system that produces 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. This engine is a turbo engine with a 2.4-liter capacity. Along with the engine, the hybrid system has a 48-horsepower electric motor for maximum speed and power. No matter which Land Cruiser trim you get, you'll enjoy full-time four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case and vehicle stability control.
Safety
The new and improved Toyota Land Cruiser comes with Toyota's Safety Sense 3.0 Standard safety system, which includes lane tracing assist, road sign assist, lane departure warning, a pre-collision system, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist. A Blind Spot Monitor system is also standard, along with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
