When you think of the words green car, what do you envision? If you have followed automotive news at any length over the past decade, one name should stick with you: the Toyota Prius. As the best-selling hybrid in history, the Prius has become the symbol of automotive efficiency and high gas mileage. So what does the 2013 Toyota Prius have to offer you? Let's take a look.

 

In case you haven't heard yet, there's a brand new Toyota Corolla incoming for the next model year. Based off of the Furia concept, it has an aggressively-presented front end and grille, and tweaked, dynamic line work. What could make this car better, you ask? If it was offered as a hybrid.

The cornerstone of Toyota's philosophy is ongoing improvement, both in the automotive and technological sector. With recent successes such as great sales, and even sending a small robot into space to test voice recognition functionality, we're pleased to share with you what's coming down the pike for the Japanese car manufacturer.

As of late, Toyota has been charting a course to many new frontiers. A while back, we told you that the Japanese manufacturer was testing a car that can drive itself, and more recently, about their plans to send a talking robot into space. Now, more in the terrestrial vein, Dayton Toyota has heard that the automaker has planned to enter the H2 Fuel Cell market in 2015.

Science fiction has often portrayed the AI robots of the future in a less than positive light. In movies such as The Matrix, they have enslaved humanity for their potential as batteries, and in Terminator, one comes back to the present as a beefed up, red-eyed cyborg with a thick Austrian accent. The robot manufactured by Toyota however, isn't like that at all, and in fact, was built to help us in the realms of science.

As you might have guessed from our most recent blog post, we have a hard time not talking about the Prius here at our dealership. Apparently, however, we're not alone there.

Even though the 2015 Prius is a couple of model years out, we were still excited when we saw the pictures that have leaked on the Internet. You have to admit, we talk about this hybrid a lot. But then again, so does everyone. And you can bet your bonnet that folks will be talking even more when the new model hits our South Brunswick, NJ showroom.

Since the next-generation Toyota Corolla's debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show at the beginning of the year, we've been itching for more details on the 2014 model year of one of America's favorite sedans.
